Second thing, there's no camping at the venue so does anyone know of a decent site (that means nearby pub) in the vicinity please?

There is a camping club site beside the showground. The club stand will have the banner displayed. You get in free as long as you arrive in your kit car.

There is apub opposite the camp site across a field, but it is best to go the long way around the road. Chris I dont know where you got your information from regards camping. There is no public camping but if you come in your kit car as I understand it you can camp on your club stand.

I e-mailed the venue and they said absolutely no camping on site. I've booked in for a few days at a nice site in Ripley in the end, just few miles north of Harrogate.
Very plush by the look of it!
