    Log book

Hope someone here can help me out. I bought a Berlinetta some months ago, mostly because of it's looks. However I still haven't received a V5 from DVLA and after picking up a V62 from the post office, I discover there's only room for 17 characters on the form, whereas there seems to be 18 on the VIN plate on the cars chassis. It it helps anyone the Reg of my car is Q678GBG.

        Re: Log book

Strange, my data has SABTVR032811331 against this car (15 only!)

Suggest you take the letter "Y" off the end and see where that gets you

Let me know how you get on

            Re: Log book

Chassis numbers are not allowed to end in a letter. Apparently, it is an undocumented law.

I know because my chassis number was rejected for that reason.

My Cabrio VIN number is 17 characters and ends with two letters - MK. How confusing this all is.

That's taken from the Marlin dataplate, the last two are the initials of the first purchaser/owner (M Kohn)

As requested photo of the VIN number. Don't know if this helps
