  • What is this carburetor, I'm lost!

Here is the carburetor fitted to my Pinto 2L (Sierra 1987). I would like to change the gaskets but I cannot find which weber carburetor it is. Thank you for informing me.20211127_105516.jpg20211127_105509.jpg20211127_105438.jpg20211127_105457.jpg

32/36 DGV as it doesn't look like it has the auto choke. Otherwise DGAV

Looks somewhat like my 38 DGAS that I have on my Essex V6.

Spot on Alan, it is a 38dgas. Back in the day one of the first tuning mods to the 2000cc SOHC engine after a good branch manifold was to fit the dgas weber which was fitted to the 3000cc essex Capri. Blue belle has the same arrangement with no operating choke.

Can you give us any more details about the donor engine?
Pouvez-vous nous donner plus de détails sur le moteur donneur ?

I would have guessed a Pinto would have come from a Sierra but I think they all had automatic chokes.
J'aurais deviné qu'un Pinto viendrait d'un Sierra mais je pense qu'ils avaient tous des starters automatiques.

The Haynes manual for Sierra’s is here:

The simple answer is Weber DGAS.

The Weber carb always has the model stamped on the base plate. Best way to definitively identify what you have.

Merci tout le monde. Le marquage comme John le mentionne n'est pas sur le carburateur. Cependant, j'ai trouvé la réponse ici. . Dany, tu as raison.

Once you've checked the base of the Carb for it's "typo", you can either order the gasket from https://www.webcon.co.uk/products/c2...-carburettors/

Or make your own paper gasket from a cereal/food package sleeve punching out the required holes in the correct location and cutting the rest out with a sharp scalpel or stanley knife.
