....is near Exeter...and today I thrashed the 86 miles down the A 303 to meet fellow Marlineer Geoff Beach at this amazing show. It's a weekend event featuring historic vehicles, so there is something for everyone...traction engines, cars and motorbikes from the 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s and multiple single marque car clubs. It was a bigger show than Stoneleigh, the car stalls were mostly autojumble and classic stuff, but there were jewelry and clothes stalls as well. I enjoyed most of the drive, although the big main road was very hot and loud. I much prefer the B roads and quieter A roads, where I hardly ever have to change gear and the cabrio will go round pretty much any bend as if on rails. Sadly. Geoff and I were the only two Marlins (that we saw) in attendance, but lots of people spoke about Marlins they had owned (and in one case still did own....a Berli that's been on blocks in his garage for 7 years!
A great day out.
