Re: Newark Kit Car Show
I'm going tomorrow but unfortunately I won't be turning up in the 5exi as I had a driveshaft failure on my way from the Wentworth House car show last weekend.

Re: Newark Kit Car Show
Oooh, errr! Pride comes before a fall! Having said yesterday that the car was running really well on the way to Newark, it broke down on the way back. Bowling along the A1(M), there was a sudden loss of power, and I made it onto the hard shoulder, where the engine died. A quick check round and it appears almost certain that the fuel pump has given up the ghost - no ticking. Not the first time the fuel pump has failed, but the last time was about 12 years ago. Had to wait nearly 2 hours to be rescued, while stood in an ant's nest! Didn't notice them until both me and Ringo had got bitten - nasty little things! It was a really nice chap who came for us, and we had a pleasant chat on the way back. Got home about 8pm instead of expected 4.30pm! Car now locked in garage.
Dave & Caroline - green Cabrio with bonnet open in pics.
