    Re: Escort fuel gauge

First step - using the good old Dremel and a 1/32 cutting disk, managed to remove the float and send unit.

    Checked, still watertight, phew.

Got onto Fast Marina and they said that to find a new/used unit is very hard nowadays, so suggested I get a Range Rover one and do a bit of cut and shut.

Now waiting for delivery of said item.

Will update as I go along.

    Hiya lily red roadster

I have the Ford sender out but using a normal soldering iron doesn't move it.

Can you remember what you did to remove the arm mechanism?

There are a number of different TB9010 sender units.

Does anyone know the ohm range for the Marina?

    That's what I did a few years ago...there is a write-up in Pitstop somewhere (2016ish)

NB - this is a later Sierra unit with a return pipe. Smiths Classic sender unit carefully removed & soldered onto the Ford pickup.

Are you saying that you take the arm unit off the mini sender and weld/solder it onto the original escort sender without the need to cut and shut the pipework

    Escort fuel gauge

Has anyone tried to fit the fuel gauge from the Escort Mk1 and 2 into the Marina 3 dial dash pod?
