Cylinder linings

I am rebuilding a 2Lt pinto and would like to know how far I should go with the glaze buster?
Do I just give it a short blast or keep it on till all the shine has gone from cylinders.

Hi Jez. Its a long time since I've used one of these things, however, the trick is to get rid of the shine by operating the tool up and down and in a twisty motion. This will produce a network of fine scratches and tend to be a dull colour. You should'nt worry about over doing it, because the amount removed is very very small. What is important and not over emphasized is to give all surfaces a good and thorough clean . Get rid of all dust and grit, and finally smear with clean oil, to stop rusting.
