This may sound daft, sorry!

Have a look at kitchen fitters or shop fitters.
Many serving counters and worktops have the stuff around the edge - it may work!

Hi Keith.

I haven't seen this type of trim used in modern cars (they tend to have one-piece mouldings) but it's certainly worth a lookk for alternative trims that could be used instead. I've no excuse; there is a breaker's nearby!

I used to be a kitchen fitter over 20 years ago, so know what you mean! The metal worktop edge strips do have the very profile I'm looking for, but I'd need a much more flexible alternative for the radii I'm intending to use it for - hence needing the PVC stuff.

Having said that, I have a friend who works for a kitchen manufacturing company - I was even talking to him today! - and it never crossed my mind to ask if there could be something suitable there. D'oh!

Shower cubicle seals are another avenue you may wish to explore!

I used to have a customer in Bude called Pritchard Plastics. I think they still exist. They make loads of different section trim for the caravan and boat industry. Give then a try - you never know.

No-go with Pritchard Plastics, and the sample of J profile sent by another company proved to be slightly too thick so won't bend to the tight shapes I require.

Back to square one...

Don't know if this is correct stuff-see Europa spares code AEBC [they call it Aluminium box capping-?8.66 metre ] It's listed on page 126 -Seals and draught excluders

Thanks. Yes, that is the correct profile, but wrong material! It really needs to be PVC or similar, so that it can flexed around pretty sharp corners without distorting.

If all else fails, I guess can always print this lot out, roll it up and glue it onto the dashboard edges instead
