    Clutch slave rod shortening

    Another day another question.

Fitted new slave cylindecylinder successfully but the pedal stops 1.5 inches off the floor, clutch arm when pedal is down is against the bell housing.

Can I just shorten the slave rod a little or am I risking the piston coming out or anything else?

Clutch feels absolutely fine driving just unnerving it won't go to the floor and im worried I will push it too hard and pop seals ect.

If It's comfortable to use you could always put a stop under the pedal.
