Glass Fibre Starring

I am starting the preparation for a re spray on my Berlinetta and have noticed a couple of areas which are "starred". I heard years ago there was a special repair procedure or the paint drops off. Can anyone help with details of this procedure?

The 'starring' you refer to is generally in the gel coat of the glassfibre.It can be repaired quite successfully by using a gel coat repair kit which you can obtain from dinghy chandlers/boat builders.

It works on hair line cracks not hairy arse cracks.

I certainly haven't got a builder's bum. At least I don't think I have.
Ben, on the other hand...........and before you ask, he has been known to shower al fresco. I have a picture to prove it. The exhibitionist!
