First place to look is http://www.s-v-c.co.uk/prod_wipers.html They used to stock all sorts of gears etc.

Take care with the arc that the wipers travel trough, some arms may get too close to bodywork or bonnet for comfort depending on instalation.

      Hi Bryan,
I converted my Berlinetta to this sort of wipers system, I used the MGB wiper motor and Land rover Defender wheel boxes. This gave great results. I'm not sure this will work on your Roadster, but it may with smaller arms and blades.

        Re: Wiper Motor

Marina wheel boxes are not the best...SVC do 32 tooth versions which give you better sweep with that motor (marina are 38 iirc). Also check the overall setup as loose wheelboxes & badly fitting/poorly greased cable/bundy tubes can lose you valuable movement.

Austin Allegro has 32 tooth box and is dimensionally correct, i.e length of spindle. I fitted these to my Roadster .

              Thanks all for your replies
I'll have to get behind dash to see what wheelboxes I have and go from there
              Many thanks

                Re: Wiper Motor

Wheel boxes now out, turns out they are 40 tooth!!
No wonder the sweep is rubbish!
Anyone know what they might be from?
Bundy tube US so have made up some more so that is sorted, just need to get some 32 tooth wheel boxes.
probably svc the place to try?
                Regards

Some defender wheelboxes on Fleabay, what length of spindle? as they look too long in photo!
Are splines a common size or would I be looking at different wiper arms as well if I go down that route?
                  Regards
