Track control bush query

Help or Info. I have just fitted replacement Poly bushes to the Anti-Roll bar/ Track-control arm, and the only instructions are to make sure all parts are clean and free of rust and paint. Looking at the bushes I would have thought flat retaining washers should have been fitted, not the old Sierra convex retaining washers (for the old rubber bushes) but none were supplied with the kit. My query is, is it OK to fit the old washers and if not, is it local manufacture for the replacement?

Hi Keith.
If you are talking Sierra TCA bushes then have a look at my post #18 on the following link:

The correct washers are the O/E Ford ones are as follows:

ARB Washer / Front 6172539		Dished / Black
ARB Washer / Rear 6172540		Flat /Green

These are a larger diameter than those supplied with the aftermarket bush kits. Peter

Thanks Peter for your reply - most helpful. I should have delved deeper into previous threads on suspensions but one day I will possibly get used to computers! Keith
