Marina 1.3 exhaust downpipe

Hi

Can anyone take a picture of their exhaust downpipe coming from the manifold and exiting the engine bay side.

I know I have asked this before and it will be a little bit of an issue trying to get in there to take a picture but I would be forever thankful.

Hi Adrian,
Just read your request. I'll send you a pic tomorrow. Mine has the standard Marina cast manifold with a tailor-made stainless downpipe exiting through the inner wing just above the chassis. I think this is the original way they were done..

Hi Adrian, mine is as near to original. I cut the downpipe about 2 ins from the flange then fitted stainless flexible which as Franklin says passes through the bonnet side panel just above the chassis rail. This then fits to an original stainless box, I twisted the flex until it tightened on to the downpipe section the clamped with a stainless u clamp. Works fine.

Hi Adrian

Just been in the garage and taken a few pictures that may be of assistance.

The system is the original Stainless one supplied by Marlin.

Fingers crossed the pictures appear, don't post very often

Was the downpipe supplied by Marlin?

I have exactly the same Stainless silencer.

Are you restoring yours as well?

Looks as though you are about the same stage as me.
