Torsion bar

I am thinking of fitting Avo coil overs to my Roadster. Has anyone ever disconnected or removed the torsion bar as it may be to stiff with the coil overs?

Did you ever decide which of the two sizes of torsion bar you have fitted? The larger diameter ones will be too stiff for a roadster. Equally tyre pressures and sidewall profile have a lot to do with handling issues.
Torsion bars have been removed completely and replaced with coil overs, a quick search of the forum will find some pictures.
Personally I think it is a bit of a gamble, not so much from the mechanical point of view, but the selection of the spring. It's position is far from vertical making any calculations a best estimate, and you may end up worse off than you already are.
